Welcoming Ronan Philpott as new BBI Director
We’re excited to begin a new chapter at the Beyond Boundaries Institute as we welcome Ronan Philpott into the role of Director in 2026, as Cameron Thorn puts his full focus into his work with YEAWA after sharing his time between BBI and YEAWA this year.
Meet Ronan
Ronan brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for educational leadership, with a background spanning schools, higher education and corporate settings in both Ireland and Australia. Currently overseeing Professional Growth at All Saints’ College, Ronan has worked across teaching, middle leadership and whole-school development roles. His expertise includes school leadership, wellbeing, professional growth and culture-shaping, and he is particularly passionate about helping organisations thrive through thoughtful leadership, feedback, coaching and continuous growth.
Ronan is eager to build on the strong foundations already in place at BBI, deepening partnerships and exploring innovative ways to support educators and schools.
As we look forward, we also want to take a moment to celebrate Cameron Thorn’s outstanding contribution as Director. Cameron has been instrumental in shaping BBI’s strategy and vision in 2025, laying the groundwork for future success. His leadership and commitment have positioned BBI for growth, and we are deeply grateful for everything he has achieved.
While Cameron moves on to exciting opportunities, we’re thrilled that our connection with him will continue through Curtin University and YEAWA.
Ronan will build on the strong platform Cameron has established, bringing fresh ideas and energy to drive BBI forward. We look forward to seeing what the next chapter holds under his leadership.
